Welcome to the Botanical Garden in Vácrátót!

Vácrátót Botanical Garden (www.botkert.hu) has the richest living botanical collection in Hungary, with more than 12,000 taxa located in the dendrological, greenhouse collections, rock garden and phylogenetic plant collections. It is included in a landscape garden, founded in the first half of the 19th century.
The garden (27 ha), with its lawn, trees, lakes and interesting and beautiful plants, is waiting for tourists, students desiring to study or those just wishing to relax away from the troubles of civilisation, and is located only 30 km away from Budapest.
The exhibitions of Berkenyeház (visitor centre) are available to introduce people to the diversity and beauty of the plant kingdom and to the various services plants provide for human beings.
