Welcome to the Department of Plant Ecology!
|
Research projects of the Department, besides basic research relating to the composition and functioning of communities, focus on regional and global ecological problems, namely climate change, pollution, loss of biodiversity, biological invasion and consequences of land use change. Thus research results support in direct social and indirect, long-term economic benefits. The studies are not only concerned with describing ecological processes connected with environmental changes or with management problems, but also with the development of methods to observe and document complex living systems.
